Outreach Work and Partnerships

@TheHub Swindon our work also includes outreach where our coaches and leaders come to your organisation and work with your young people to provide bespoke boxing training experiences and personal growth sessions designed to promote pro-social behaviours, increase self-esteem and improve young people’s life chances.

Case Study – D___________ School , Reading, UK.

"Paddy has been working with a cohort of 13 year old males (Year 8) at our school during the academic year 2020-2021. Through the Boxing Clever Programme, he has been delivering: non-contact boxing training, 1-to-1 coaching sessions and personal improvement sessions as part of our alternative curriculum pathway. The impact Paddy, and the young coach he has brought to support the sessions, have had on our students and parents this academic year has been very significant.

Through the Boxing Clever Programme:

  • 100% of participants stated that they had improved their physical and mental health and well-being.
  • 100% of participants stated that their confidence had improved.
  • 100% of participants stated that the programme helped them to show more kindness to those around them.
  • 100% of participants stated that the programme helped them work more successfully with others.
  • 88% of participants stated that the programme had helped them to improve their concentration skills.
  • 88% of participants stated that they were now being removed from lessons for poor behaviour much less than before (this was confirmed by lesson removal statistics).
  • 100% of participants stated that the Boxing Clever Programme had helped them become more positive about their experience in school and that this meant greater concentration in lessons.

We will absolutely be continuing with this programme into the next academic year."
