About Us

@TheHub Swindon is a not-for-profit community interest organisation. Our main purpose is to support young people form the ages of 11 – 19 to access education, personal development and training opportunities. We use a powerful combination of developing boxing skills, understanding of how to live a healthy lifestyle, and intensive one-to-one support to help our young people to improve their self-esteem, understand how to be positive role models and members of our community, and to develop the skills and knowledge to fulfil their potential.

We are passionate about investing in our community’s youth as we know that young people who feel trusted and valued as part of their community make a more positive impact within their community. Negative influences are everywhere, looking to take advantage of our young people where there is any hopelessness, disillusion, anger or despair. @TheHub we believe that supporting young people to have a positive attitude to their community, respect for themselves and others, and a belief that there are future opportunities out there for them create a sense of hope – and we base our coaching and guidance around these core values.

@TheHub we know that we might not be able to change the world from our base in Swindon. But we also know that we can all positively impact our own streets and with the help of our young people sustainably create the positive, happy and vibrant places that we want to live in. If we make a difference house by house, street by street, then in time who knows what we can achieve?

@TheHub Swindon we create a safe and welcoming place where the community can experience a variety of activities and opportunities to improve physical and mental health. It is scientifically proven that physical exercise not only benefits our long term physical health, improving life expectancy as one of its by products, but also that regular exercise improves our mental health and self-esteem too. @TheHub we know how powerful belonging to a positive-spirited and like-minded group of people can be for community cohesion and we ensure that everyone involved with us feels valued and part of our extended family.

Alongside our lead practitioner, Paddy Fitzpatrick, we have a team of coaches of varying ages and levels of experience, all waiting to welcome you with a smile, a fist-bump and plenty of encouragement.

We know that if you decide that you would like to take part in one of our education and training opportunities, or if you would just like to come down and train with us for fun, that you will quickly experience the benefits that our programmes have been proven to give participants.
